Anna-Sophie Mungenast began her modeling career in Japan after she was discovered at the University of Vienna. She he worked in the fashion industry in New York for a decade, where she got insights in all aspects of production of photoshoots and often found herself translating between clients and photographers, art directors and stylists, clients and make up artists etc.

12 Years into her career she founded Leopard Studios and is now best known as a creative director, strategist and producer, while still being booked as an agency signed fashion model.

Anna-Sophie has been featured in various magazines, such as Tatler UK, Vogue US, Harpers Bazaar US, Elle España, Glamour,  and InStyle to name a few. She worked with major fashion and skin care brands for their advertising campaigns as well as TV commercials oh and she also happens to be my partner in crime for many years! I am super super excited about her new venture and as someone who’s been interviewing creatives for a while, I can say Anna Sophie has an amazing eye!

What is Leopard Studios?

We are free-spirited creative freelancers with a twist of German style organization, who think outside the box. We create strong content, for Websites, Look-books, Social Media and Videos in stunning locations around the world.

Whether this is on an abandoned sports-facility somewhere outside of Havana, a fisherman’s village in Sicily, a white beach in the Maldives or an East-London Studio, we make very high quality production accessible for smaller brands with less budget as well as big brands with big budgets. A fun twist to Leopard Studios is that you can book our talent as models, because we think it's time for brands to start booking smart, creative and badass women for their campaigns rather than just pretty faces.

What are your greatest inspirations or influences?

I am inspired by different cultures, art, architecture and nature. I love finding the parallels between a brand and a trade in one of these things, in order to create something unique and captivating.

Tell us about some of the places you shoot for fashion brands and clients?

We do a trip every 6 weeks. We travel a lot in Europe, but one of our favorite destinations is Cuba. We love raw and real places. The harder to get to it is, the more we love it! My business partner Michelle Beatty and I for example once got to a waterfall in Vinales on horse with our clients whole collection, a steamer, a generator, all of the camera equipment and 2 super adorable assistants who helped us while laughing tears. We were debating whether or not to publish the “behind the scenes” but everything turned out so amazing, and our clients really loved the story. Obviously we didn’t plan it like that but if we fall in love with a location we don't take no for an answer. We make it happen.

Favorite websites, social media handles and publications?

Whats something you plan on doing in 2020 that you've never done before?

Leila Is this a sexual question?!

Jokes aside, I will start the new year in Africa! I am beyond excited as I have only been to Morocco so far which is very different to Kenya and I have never seen Elephants in the wild! I also insist on meeting a Leopard for obvious reasons!
